Experience points
From Colony 337 Wiki
(Redirected from Experience Points)
Experience points allow you to purchase skills. They can be earned in a few ways:
- Attacking an enemy robot. Attacking another robot will grant an amount of experience points equal to the damage dealt to your opponent. Achieving a kill on an enemy robot yields a bonus of 100 points.
- Attacking an enemy Force Field. A successful hit on a force field earns an amount of experience points equal to the amount of damage dealt divided by 10 and rounded down. For example, hitting a force field for 19 points of damage will only earn you one experience point, whereas hitting it for 20 points of damage will earn two. Destroying a force field earns you an immediate four experience points. These 4 points come in addition to the damage dealt to destroy it (divided by 10).
- Deploying a Force Field. Deploying a force field earns 5 XP. Adding power to the force field after deployment yields 1 XP per powerup, but only for low-level robots (level 1 and 2).
- Attaching a Degrader Coil to a Force Field. This action earns 3 XP. Damage done by the Degrader Coil yields no additional XP. There is no XP gained by removing it with Degrader Tongs.
- Repairing another robot. Repairing fellow robots will earn experience. You will gain 20 XP for each Repair Kit used. Increased skill levels in robot repairing yield more repair points per kit used, but do not increase the XP received. Repairing yourself will not earn experience points, nor will repairing a robot you have recently attacked.
1000 experience points are needed to purchase a new skill.
